In the gritty city, there's a hit going down at the ritzy restaurant Hades’ Kitchen. Rumor has it that it will be the same night the restaurant receives a very prestigious award. The CEO wants Shovel to stop the murder and save their award. Our private eye must go undercover to uncover the killer lurking among the salt and pepper shakers. But will she be able to crack the case, or will waiting tables cause her to crack? As an old-time radio show, the script also includes funny commercials in the spirit of the 1940s.
 
Easy to produce, Sam Shovel offers flexible casting, a simple set, and many good female roles. It's also a great show for teaching actors about vocal expression.
